Frequently Asked Questions

What is felting?

Felting is the art of transforming wool into felt, a unique, soft, resilient and living material.

Through movement, soapy water and time, the fibres intertwine to give life to my creations, both functional and poetic.

See my page The Art of Felting.

About my creations

What kind of wool do you use?

I mainly use merino wool, chosen for its softness, fineness and particular qualities for felting.

Are your creations entirely handmade?

Yes. Each creation is made by hand in my studio. Felting is a craft that requires time, precision and great attention to detail.

Is each creation unique?

Yes. Even when I draw inspiration from the same design, each piece has its own shades, details and character. The natural variations of the wool and the handmade process make every creation unique.

Are the colours exactly as they appear in the photos?

Colours may vary slightly depending on the light, screen settings or photography conditions. I nevertheless do my best to present the colours of my creations as faithfully as possible.

Orders and custom creations

Can I order a custom creation?

Yes. I can create pieces to order and discuss your wishes with you, including colours, dimensions and other details.
See the Custom Order form.

Can I request a creation inspired by a model presented on the website?

Yes! As each piece is handmade, I can take inspiration from an existing creation while making a new piece with its own shades and particular details. Click on a creation in the gallery, then, on the detail page that appears, click the Request a similar creation button.

How long does it take to make a creation to order?

Oh, that can vary a lot! 😊 It depends very much on the creation: a small piece such as a brooch can be simple or very complex, while a highly personalised large scarf, a jacket or a complex dress can all require very different amounts of time.

The timing also depends on the material: if I already have the wool, or if I have already made the felt needed, I can start working quite quickly. I often need to make the material specifically for your creation, and that takes additional time.

To give you a rough idea, it can take anywhere from about one hour to around ten days. This is, of course, only an indication and depends on each individual project.

Wearing and caring for my creations

Is felted wool fragile? How should I care for my creation?

Well, contrary to what you might think, felted wool is quite a strong and resilient material, able to withstand the everyday demands of life.

It is nevertheless important to take care of it, just like any object you love. Strong friction, high heat and certain treatments can alter its shape or appearance.

My creations are designed to last and, in any case, I can explain how to properly care for a particular creation.

See also my page The Art of Felting, where I also explain how to care for felt.

Can felted creations be ironed?

YES 😊 In moderation… It’s wool!

Delivery and orders

Which countries do you deliver to?

I mainly deliver to France, Ukraine and other European countries.
I can of course consider other destinations as well. Please feel free to contact me to discuss it.

How are the creations packaged?

I attach great importance to taking care of my creations, and therefore also to their packaging and shipping.

I use boxes or cardboard envelopes whose size and quality are adapted to the contents, in order to protect each creation as well as possible.

Each package is prepared and each shipment is handled individually, by hand, by me personally.

Can I give a creation as a gift?

Yes, of course! ❤️ My creations can be given for a special occasion or simply to make someone happy.
I can also personalise the packaging and add a little personalised message… or, on the contrary, leave an intriguing anonymity. ❤️🤔

Workshops

Do you offer felting workshops?

Yes, I offer workshops where you can discover felting and explore this technique in a creative way.
You can also meet me at exhibitions and craft fairs in which I take part.

And I will soon be opening a shop with a dedicated workshop space!
See my Meet Me in Person page.

Do I need experience to take part in a workshop? What can I make?

Experience begins with using your hands! You have had them for a long time! 😊
Then, little by little, you learn to feel, before beginning to understand, and then to master the technique.

I welcome children and adults to my workshops, whether beginners or experienced.
Together, or sometimes independently, we make brooches, mittens, berets, scarves…

Let your imagination run free: I will guide you.
