“Water Lilies” Scarf — Inspired by Claude Monet’s Masterpieces Dimensions: 155 × 50 cm This artistic scarf was born from the inspiration of Claude Monet’s famous “Water Lilies” paintings — his beautiful works devoted to the lily pond in his garden at Giverny. I first created this scarf inspired by Monet’s paintings. I was fascinated by his unique way of working with colour, light and reflections on water. I wanted to translate that feeling into textile art — not to reproduce the painting literally, but to create its own textile echo. Over time, this first scarf became the beginning of a series. My creations began to find their owners, and each new version became a personal interpretation of this beautiful theme. Then came a moment that made this story especially meaningful to me. I had the opportunity to visit Claude Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny and see with my own eyes the garden, the lily pond and the paintings that had once been the source of my inspiration. Experiencing this place in person, after already creating my own textile interpretation, was extraordinary. That is why this scarf represents much more than a simple accessory to me. It is a connection between painting, nature, personal experience and handmade craftsmanship. Its openwork texture gives the scarf lightness and transparency. The delicate fibres create transparent and semi-transparent areas through which light can pass, evoking reflections on the surface of the water. The soft, flowing lines echo the shapes of the water lilies and their reflections. Every detail is shaped by hand from fibres using the wet-felting technique. This is neither a print nor an image applied to existing fabric. The colours, shapes, texture and openwork structure are created directly from the fibres. This is why every scarf in the series is slightly different from the one before it. Even when working with the same theme, it is impossible to create two pieces that are absolutely identical. Each one has its own character, its own combination of colours and a texture that is uniquely its own. It is a small fragment of art that can be worn — for those who love Claude Monet, Impressionism, nature and pieces that carry their own story. Inspiration: Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies”, the lily pond and the garden at Giverny. Dimensions: 155 × 50 cm. Technique: wet felting, entirely handmade artistic creation. Each scarf is unique and handmade.
